Christina Herr, San Antonio, Texas - firstname.lastname@example.org
Christina M. Herr was born in Long Beach, California and has spent her life empowering others to achieve the successes they desire. Because of experiences in her youth, Christina found purpose in connecting with and empowering others with an open mind and grace. Her childhood provided ample opportunities to serve the many communities she has been a part of, be it neighborhoods, schools, group homes, or soccer teams. Christina’s desire to serve guided her to the military where she spent 11 years serving the men and women generating air power for the greatest Air Force in the world. 👑🎤🎧 During her Air Force career, Christina ensured that her customers were well taken care of, overseeing career impacting programs, so they could focus on their missions. She volunteered for numerous events and speaking engagements to ensure that only were the Airmen informed and empowered, but also military families. As a supervisor, Christina focused on understanding the individual needs and goals of her subordinates, helping them find their way to their own successes-personally and professionally. She took great pride in being a support to others and considers her military career a success. 👑🎤🎧 Christina lost her way post service, like so many other veterans. Six years into her military transition, she reignited the fire within her as a valued member of a suicide prevention initiative within the special operations community. Christina spent 6 years developing and managing resilience and suicide prevention programs and training leading her to embrace her path of purpose once again. Since then, Christina has relocated to San Antonio where she has put her knowledge, skills, and talents to use in the veteran community, generating connections and inspiring others to live authentically. 👑🎤🎧 Over the last five years, Christina has been inspired by the research-based wisdom of Brené Brown who said, “Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” 👑🎤🎧 Through newfound courage, Christina began sharing her story of missteps and triumphs-finding power and comfort in being vulnerable and authentic. This new openness has earned her the cheeky title Queen of Resilience, as she uses her tales to spark life into the idea that you can become more resilient and learn skills that can improve overall well-being and life experiences. 👑🎤🎧
Christina’s future plans are to finish a Ph.D. in Performance Psychology and continue to serve her beloved veteran community. She wholeheartedly believes that connection and authentic living is the means to veteran suicide prevention and plans to continue supporting that idea. through volunteerism, writing, podcasting, and public speaking. Christina is also determined to add valuable research focused on mental health and its impact on performance in everyday life.
